Alexander Johan Hjalmar Skarsgård, was born August 25, 1976. He is a Swedish actor and director. He is best known for his role on HBO's hit TV show, True Blood. He is the son of the famous Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård and the brother of actor Gustaf Skarsgård.
In 2007 he played one of the main characters, Sgt. Brad Colbert, in the American miniseries Generation Kill. He is an original member of the ensemble cast of HBO's television drama series True Blood. Skarsgård plays the role of Eric Northman, the local vampire sheriff and owner of Fangtasia, a vampire bar.
In 2009, Alexander appeared in the music video for pop singer Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi".
